  1. How does the FirstRewards program work?

    Earn 1 point for everyday purchases on your FirstRewards credit card. Once you accumulate enough points, you can redeem for rewards such as gift cards, certificates, merchandise, airline travel, hotel accommodations, cruises and local reward options. Contact First Interstate Bank for details on any current promotions affecting point accrual or redemption options.

  2. How does my FirstRewards credit card earn points?

    Every time you use your FirstRewards credit card, you'll receive one (1) point for every $1.00 in net purchases (purchases less returns). Cash advances, fees and balance transfers do not earn points.

  4. Do my Points expire?

    No. Your FirstRewards points do not expire.

    No. Use your FirstRewards credit card for everyday purchases and watch how fast your points add up.

  6. I'm a joint cardholder on the credit card account. Can I also redeem points?

    Only one log in id will be assigned to the account and can be used by either cardholder to redeem points online at rewards.firstinterstatebank.com. Either cardholder can also redeem by calling our FirstRewards Redemption Center at 1-888-216-2893.

  7. How do airline redemptions for the FirstRewards program work?

    You can redeem your points for air travel by calling our FirstRewards Redemption Center at 1-888-216-2893 or online at rewards.firstinterstatebank.com.

  8. What if I don't have enough points for the ticket I want?

    You may redeem for a credit toward your flight, which come in various increments. Any amount remaining can then be charged to your FirstRewards credit card. You may also purchase additional points by contacting 1-888-216-2893.

  9. Do I have to use my FirstRewards credit card to pay for amounts in excess of my point redemption?

    Only your FirstRewards credit card can be used to pay for amounts in excess to point redemption.

  10. Who do I contact if something goes wrong with my flight?

    You may contact the airline directly. You will receive airline contact information on your flight itinerary, which will be emailed to you after you redeem points for air travel.

  11. What happens if I cancel a flight booked through FirstRewards?

    Tickets and fees are non-changeable and non-refundable. Any changes to itinerary must be handled directly with the airline listed on your itinerary. You may be subject to fees enforced by the airlines for changes to your flight itinerary.

  12. Do I have a cash option for redemption?

    No, cash is not an option for redemption in the FirstRewards program. However, you may redeem points for a First Interstate Bank MasterCard® Gift Card in various increments.

  13. Can I keep my Points if I close my account?

    No, all FirstRewards points will be forfeited upon account closure.
